My name is Megan Shipman and I am a Sophomore. I am majoring in Advertisement and Public Relations and minoring in Entrepreneurship. I enjoy taking photos and hanging out with family and friends during my free time. I would consider myself a pretty good cook. I cook almost all of my own meals. I also love to bake as well. It is a good way for me to relax and try new things! If you want to cook my wing recipe click the photo to the left.

Hello! I'm Regan Anguiano and I am currently a sophomore Advertising and Public Relations major at UNL.  I love to get my creative juices flowing through all types of mediums: embroidery, digital art, and even cooking! Though I am not an expert like my fellow teammates, I love to EAT so I figured I should give cooking a try.  I tried my hand at a simple Chinese meal if you wanna see my attempt go ahead and click on my picture!

Hiii! I'm Sarah. I'm a Junior Advertising major with a minor in Political Science. In my free time, I'm an avid equestrian and freelance designer, specializing in line art. I also enjoy photography, traveling, and reading. As far as cooking skills go, I'm an intermediate chef at best! Some of my favorite dishes to cook for myself are eggs (poached), sauteed veggies, and popcorn on the stove. If you want to make an easy and tasty quesadilla, click my photo on the left!

My Name is Chase Porter and I am a senior Broadcasting Production and Philosophy Major. In my free time I love to read and exercise in my spare time! When It comes to cooking I have some limited experience with cooking, as I've given some thought to nutrition. But I would consider myself generally a novice, because my favorite meals consist of breakfast and other easy to make meals.

Our Story

We did this project for our JOMC 134 Visual Communications course. Our original project idea was to have a cooking contest. This would have involved each of us making or buying a meal for under $10, then we would have one person judge. This would determine which meal was the most, "bang for your buck." Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had to come up with a new plan that would allow us to do our project without seeing each other and without having to go and buy a bunch of ingredients. That's how we came up with this project plan. For this, we each received a type of cuisine that we would have to cook a recipe for. The types of cuisines included Mexican food, American food, Italian food, Chinese food, and desserts. We each had to make one of these and document our process of making them and upload them to each recipe page on this website.

Our Story

My name is Logan Zimmer and I am a Junior here at UNL. I am majoring in Advertising and Public Relations and have a minor in Business. When I am not working I love to hang with friends and family and golf. As to my cooking, I have very little experience and like to eat way more than cook. I am not a picky eater at all I will pretty much eat anything. If you are looking for an easy dessert to make click on my picture.
